Tanner's statement:

I want to start off by saying that my reasoning for not being here is not because I don’t want to answer questions from the public, because I value the questions and opinions from the public, and I answered them all without hesitation at the first forum. I have put my number on social media a few times and I want to put it out there again, it’s 405-313-9716, I would love to hear from anyone that has questions or concerns for me. With that being said, at the first forum I spoke about my 18 years of equipment operating and road and bridge maintenance. I spoke about my education in occupational safety and health, my family, and my 18 years of volunteer firefighter service in Pottawatomie county. So as your commissioner, I won’t have any other distractions and I look forward to making this my full time priority. If you want a commissioner that is accessible, knowledgeable in road and bridge maintenance, cares about all of Pott county, will continue furthering my knowledge of county government through the many free classes offered by OSU and the association of county commissioners of Oklahoma, and will work daily taking calls and working with the road crew, then Vote for me on August 25th.

Voter Registration Deadline is Friday
(Oklahoma City) – The deadline to register to vote or update a voter registration for the August 25 Election is Friday, July 31. While a number of runoff primaries will take place on August 25 – all voters are eligible to vote on two state questions which will appear on the ballot. Some voters may also have nonpartisan elections to decide.

Voters are reminded that all runoff primary elections held during the August 25 Election are closed. Voters may participate in a party’s runoff primary only if they are a registered voter of that party. State law does not permit party affiliation changes from April 1 – August 31 of even-numbered years. Party affiliation changes submitted during that time will be processed after August 31.

Secretary of the State Election Board Paul Ziriax said individuals can register online, in person, or by mail.

Online - To register using the Online Voter Registration System, the applicant must have a current and valid Oklahoma Driver License or State ID on file with Service Oklahoma and the address on the ID must match the address the applicant intends to use for voter registration.

In Person – Individuals can register to vote at their county election board or with their local motor license agent. A directory of county election boards can be found on the State Election Board website.

By Mail – Voter registration applications are available at county election boards, most tag agencies, post offices, and public libraries. Voters can also download a Voter Registration Application from the State Election Board website. Mailed applications must be postmarked no later than July 31.

All voters are encouraged to confirm their registration using the OK Voter Portal prior to the voter registration deadline. Voter registration changes must be submitted no later than July 31, in order for those changes to be applied in time for the August 25 Election.

Instructions for registering to vote and updating your voter registration are available on the State Election Board website. The list of elections can also be found on the State Election Board website. Sample ballots are available by logging into the OK Voter Portal.
