Citizens of the Village of Shawnee:

The village is requesting that anyone that can park their vehicle off the street by 10:00 Pm Saturday January 24, 2026, and keep them off the street until at least 8:00 am Monday January 26, 2026, to please do so, that we may have better access to remove snow from our streets. We are expected to receive a large amount of snow and the fewer vehicles on our streets will make for easier snow removal. If you have no alternative place to park your vehicle, please be aware your vehicle may get blocked in when we plow, and it will be your responsibility to dig your car out.

Shawnee Village 2026 Community Clean Up

Village of Shawnee residents are invited to dispose of unwanted items in the dumpster located on Main Street, across from Village Hall and near Shawnee Crossing.
This service is provided free of charge.

⚠️ Please do not overfill the dumpsters.

Prohibited Items:

Per Leckrone Sanitation, the following items may NOT be placed in the dumpster:
• Chemicals
• Batteries
• Tires
• Paint cans containing paint
• Refrigerators
• Freezers
• Air conditioners
• Televisions
• Computers
• Computer monitors

Dumpster Maintenance:

Leckrone Sanitation will remove the dumpster and replace it with an empty unit on a weekly basis.

Water service to New England Hill road and Manley Hill road has been temporarily shut down due to a water main break. Service should be restored by 11 am.

Please come support local artists, and help raise money for our Miller Youth League! Shawnee Methodist Church will also be selling lots of food and desserts. Fun for the whole family!
