Shawnee Town 1929 would like to thank Julian Fabela and Troop 93 for the three new beautiful benches that were made for Julian’s Eagle Scout project! They are extremely well made and look wonderful, and will provide comfort for our visitors for years to come! Thank you Julian and Troop 93!

Welcome to the soundscape of the 1920s! Enjoy this Shawnee Town 1929 Museum ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) video. We sought out mechanical, rhythmic sounds to help everyone relax this week!

In a modern world lacking in buttons, hearing these typewriters, light switches, calculating machines, and cash registers, harken back to a different time. ⌛ This clip also features our original 1928 Chevy Coupe and 1929 Nash Sedan. Seems like real buttons in the car are something most folks are craving these days - modern touch screens just aren't the same!

📣 Come visit the museum to learn with some hands-on history IRL. Your ears will thank you too! The tactile and auditory world of the 1920s awaits.

It's hard to believe that September is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for two BIG events, back-to-back!

First up, on Sunday September 13th is our Wheels & Dreams Car, Truck & Bike Show from 12:00pm-4:00pm.

The very next weekend we'll host our 50th Annual Shawnee Town Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, September 19th from 9:00am-4:00pm.

We hope to see you two weekends in a row at Shawnee Town 1929!

Enjoyed our Dog Days of Summer event? SAVE THE DATE for Yappy Hour coming up October 8th!

Shawnee Town 1929 closes its gates and becomes an off-leash dog park for the evening! Enjoy beer and food vendors with live music in the bandstand while dogs get their playtime on the lawn. Admission is $10 for humans and free for dogs! Grab your spots now: www.cityofshawnee.org/560/Yappy-Hour
