The goal of the Sheboygan Park Project is to create an all inclusive playground where children of ALL abilities can play and learn from each other. It will be a place where whether a child utilizes a wheelchair, wears leg braces, uses a walker, is deaf or blind, or is typically developing will not affect their free unstructured imaginative play. We hope to create a place that will allow children t
o feel safe and free from any challenge they may have, and even if it is for just the time at the playground, we hope that their disability will not keep them from playing outside alongside and with their friends. This will be a place for schools to have field trips where ALL the children can play. We will be creating a playground which will provide play opportunities for ALL the children in Sheboygan County. ALL children will have the chance to just be a kid. We have partnered with The Friends of the Sheboygan Jaycees for the fundraising portion of this project.
