We’re teaming up with Sheboygan Police Department and Walmart for Stuff the Squad, and we’d love your support!

Donations from this event help us provide basic needs items to our shelter residents and community members who need a little extra support, while also helping us continue offering workshop groups, youth programming, and other community-based programs throughout the year. 💙

🧡 Shelter Wishlist: High-Need Items Needed 🧡

Our shelter program is currently in need of a few essential items to help support the individuals and families we serve. These everyday necessities make a big difference in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

We are currently seeking donations of:
🧺 Body and hand towels
🛏️ Standard-sized pillows
🧻 Paper towels
🤧 Facial tissues

If you’re able to donate, your support helps ensure our shelter has the basic supplies needed to provide comfort, dignity, and care to those who need it most.

Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucas Altman and Doug Teunissen to its Board of Directors. Both individuals bring exceptional leadership experience, a strong commitment to community service, and a shared dedication to advancing Safe Harbor's mission of providing safety, support, and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

"We are excited to welcome Lucas and Doug to the Safe Harbor Board of Directors," said Jeanne McLellan, Safe Harbor CEO, ”Both bring unique professional expertise, thoughtful leadership, and a deep commitment to serving our community. Their perspectives will strengthen our Board as we continue working to ensure every survivor has access to safety, support, and hope."

As members of the Board of Directors, Altman and Teunissen will help provide strategic oversight, strengthen community partnerships, support organizational sustainability, and advance Safe Harbor's vision of a community free from domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Take time to slow down, reconnect, and engage in gentle, restorative activities designed to support grounding, reflection, and emotional wellness in a welcoming space.

Open to everyone in the community—you do not need to be a Safe Harbor client to attend.

📅 Final Workshops of the Month:
🗓️ July 28 – Safe Harbor at 5:30 PM
🗓️ July 30 – Maywood Park at 12:00 PM

These sessions offer a no-pressure environment to rest, reset, and connect with others through calming, supportive activities.

Happy Saturday! 💜

Our Essential Needs Wishlist could use a little weekend love.

The everyday items we all use—paper towels, laundry detergent, towels, tissues, and more—help keep our shelter running and ensure families have what they need while they're with us!

If you're doing a little online shopping this weekend, we'd be so grateful if you'd add an item (or two!) to your cart for our shelter. You can drop off at our location: 929 Niagara Ave. here in Sheboygan!

Join us for the final two FREE Community Healing Workshops of the month—created as a space for rest, reflection, and gentle connection through calming, supportive activities.

These sessions are open to everyone in the community—you do not need to be a Safe Harbor client to attend.
