Tonight was filled with pure joy! 🐾💙
Our residents were visited by a wonderful group of therapy dogs and their amazing owners. The room was full of smiles, gentle pets, and plenty of happy tail wags. Moments like these remind us just how powerful the comfort of a furry friend can be. 🐶✨
Thank you to this incredible group for sharing your time, love, and four-legged companions with us—it truly made our evening special!

This past Saturday was a special day! ❤️

Our residents had the opportunity to meet their North High School Pen Pals in person during a wonderful Meet & Greet event. After exchanging letters and getting to know one another through writing, they finally connected face-to-face, sharing stories, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

These intergenerational friendships bring so much joy and remind us of the power of connection across generations. Thank you to the students, volunteer writers, and everyone who helped make this memorable experience possible!

💙💚A big thank you to Blue Barn on the Green for thinking of SSC and our residents! 💐💚💙
This week, they generously donated beautiful flowers from one of their events, and the impact has been truly heartwarming. The fresh blooms have not only brightened our living spaces but have also brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces.
It’s amazing how something as simple as flowers can lift spirits and create such joy. Pictures are just a sample of the flowers donated. We are so grateful for your kindness and support!

Today we were lucky to have an amazing team of volunteers from Great Lakes Cheese Company spend the morning helping around our grounds! 💚
They jumped right in by tackling our ADA garden beds—laying down wood chips and fresh soil to help get everything ready for the season. After a quick tour of the property, the fun continued as they helped carry water and ice up to our visiting goats (very important work on a warm day! 🐐💧).
Of course, no visit would be complete without some goat treats and a few photos along the way!
SSC is incredibly thankful that Great Lakes Cheese chose us as their nonprofit to volunteer with this month. Your time, energy, and smiles made a big difference, and we truly appreciate your support.

Today, we were honored to celebrate Memorial Day alongside our residents, families, staff, and community members as we walked in the Sheboygan parade together! 🇺🇸

With veterans proudly among us and others walking in support and remembrance, it was a meaningful day to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The smiles, stories, patriotism, and sense of community shared throughout the day made it truly special.

Last week, we had the joy of celebrating National Nursing Home Week with the people who make SSC so special from our residents, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

From the laughs shared throughout the week to the time spent together making memories, the week was a beautiful reminder of the compassion, connection, and sense of community that fills our campus every day!

🌸🍰 What a sweet way to celebrate spring! 🍰🌸
Today, Ann, our talented morning cook, delighted residents with a beautiful May Flowers themed cooking demonstration. She created a stunning white cake adorned with edible flowers and wowed everyone by demonstrating how to make a delicious 7-minute lavender frosting from scratch. 💜
Her demonstration was almost as delightful as the cake itself—and that’s saying something! Not a single piece was left behind, which says it all. 😊
