It was great day to celebrate another home dedication by Habitat for Humanity Lakeside. This home was built on Geele Ave. We are excited that another family will have a new home.

Thank you to everyone who came out for the dedication of our 54th home yesterday! We are so glad you got the opportunity to meet the home buyers, tour the house, hear from Habitat leadership, and enjoy each other's company and the very pleasant late-summer evening. And thank you to the volunteers, our financial and in-kind donors, tradespeople and everyone else who helps turn a vacant lot and a pile of lumber into someone's dream.

Lakeland University - WI volunteers stopped by Habitat for Humanity Sheboygan Restore on Saturday to volunteer! "We are super-proud to be going out in the community," says Nailah, the Blue and Gold Champion accompanying the group. This particular volunteer opportunity is designed to introduce first-year students to Sheboygan, Nailah explains. The volunteers did some behind-the scenes work, including sorting through scrap metal and pricing flooring items. Thank you for your service! And thank you United Way of Sheboygan County for helping arrange the visit! Go Muskies!

From Day 1, the intended buyers for our 54th home were all-in, volunteering at wall builds and in our ReStore. Their home is this/close to being finished and on Aug. 24, we'll celebrate with a home dedication. And the public is invited! Thank you, Color Guard Railing and Poly Vinyl Company, Inc. for donating both material and labor to complete House No. 54 in Sheboygan! This group of employees, from all departments ranging from sales to manufacturing, gathered at the home today to install railings, a fine finishing touch for the home's front porch. The company has partnered with Habitat on 12 homes over 11 years or so. "It's giving back to the community," says Kyle Blindauer, the team's leader for this volunteer project.

Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity is working hard to help partner families, the community, and itself recover from the devastation of the tornado, and Culver's wants to help. On Wednesday, Aug. 12, the Culver's restaurant in Plymouth, WI, will donate a portion of sales to United Way Fox Cities to aid in recovery efforts. Habitat for Humanity is all about coming together to build homes, communities, and hope.
