What a beautiful day for planting flowers!! 🌺 Thank you to the Town & Country Garden Club for planting the planters in downtown and along the South Pier boardwalk! We appreciate all you do to beautify Sheboygan! And thank you to Otter Creek for once again providing us with beautiful flowers this year! Summer is coming along nicely! ☀️

Thank you, City of Sheboygan Public Works!

This week (May 17-23) is National Public Works Week! Thank you to everyone working in public works departments across the country, but in particular those with the City of Sheboygan! These team members are rooted in service to our community!

Public works provides many essential and important services to the citizens of Sheboygan including public parks, snow plowing, street repairs, garbage and recycling, wastewater, traffic control, and so much more! Please thank a public works employee this week for the work they do for the Sheboygan community!

Parking Lots 7 & 8 will be closed starting late Friday afternoon, May 8th and reopen by Monday, May 11th. Maintenance work will be done these two lots on Saturday and Sunday. Summer is finally here! Please note there will be reduced parking on St. Claire Avenue due to the road closure.

Road Closure - St. Clair Avenue (North 8th Street to North 9th Street)

A portion of St. Clair Avenue between North 8th Street and North 9th Street will be closed starting Monday, May 11, 2026, to designate a street space into a temporary public gathering space which will include enhancements such as seating and landscaping. The purpose of the temporary gathering space, or parklet, is to reimage the area, provide pedestrian amenities, and encourage non-motorized transportation while supporting local businesses and enhancing the public space. The parklet will be available until November 15, 2026.

‼️SNOW EMERGENCY UPDATE‼️The Snow Emergency for the City of Sheboygan has been extended through 12:00 PM (Noon) on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

🚫No parking on Snow Emergency Routes: Parking is prohibited on designated snow emergency routes, boulevards, cul-de-sacs, and dead ends during the emergency period. Vehicles can ONLY return to these streets after 12:00 PM on March 17, 2026.

➡️For all other streets, cars must be parked on the odd side (south/east) before 12:00 AM (Midnight) tonight. If the odd side of the street has already been plowed to the curb line, residents are encouraged to move their cars to the odd side immediately

➡️City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works will be working overnight to plow residential streets.

What You Need to Know:

Starting at 6:00am on Sunday, March 15, residents must park on the ODD side (south and east) of streets. Residents parked on Snow Emergency Routes are highly encouraged to find alternate parking prior to the start of the snow.

Follow all-day alternate side parking: Vehicles on non-snow emergency routes/boulevards/cul-de-sacs/dead-end streets must follow all-day alternate side parking, based on the calendar date.

No parking on Snow Emergency Routes: Parking is prohibited on designated snow emergency routes, boulevards, cul-de-sacs, and dead ends during the emergency period. Vehicles can ONLY return to these streets after the City of Sheboygan announces the end of snow emergency operations.
