The Sheffield Lake Police are hoping to identify any witnessess on Lake Road near the Avon Lake/ Sheffield Lake border on August 23, 2026 around 6:25pm. An assault victim was involved in a altercation, in that area, with a male driving a red Chevrolet 4 door. The victim received a ride from the two females, driving a white SUV. Anyone in that area who may have seen anything related to this incident please contact the Sheffield Lake Police at 440-949-7131

❤️ 145 Assistance Calls helping residents with a variety of non-criminal concerns
🛑 138 Welfare Checks to ensure the safety and well-being of community members
🐾 128 Animal Complaints Investigated

In addition to responding to emergencies and complaints, our officers continue to focus on proactive patrol, community engagement, traffic enforcement, and crime prevention throughout the city. The Sheffield Lake Parks staff located a cell phone at Ferndale Park on 8/20/26. If anyone is missing their phone call the SLPD at 440-949-7131.

The SLPD would encourage drivers, not dropping children off at Knollwood on Oster road, to avoid Oster and Irving Park between 8:00am and 8:40. The traffic is very congested at that time and can cause delays.
