On August 18, 2026 the Sheffield Lake Fire Department conducted a scenario based water rescue training. These types of trainings give members the opportunity to refresh and practice the skills necessary to handle time sensitive, real-time emergencies.
I am personally proud of my team, who executed every part of this scenario with great accuracy and skill.

Sheffield Lake Fire Department was able to take advantage of the frozen lake in order to do some much needed ice rescue training. Using specialty ice rescue suits, members trained on retrieving conscious and unconscious victims.
Always remember that ice is dangerous and you can never be too careful.
