The Sheffield Lake Fire Fighters will be at the intersection of Lake Road and Abbe Road on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Missing juvenile has been located and is safe. Thanks for your help.

MISSING JUVENILE

On Tuesday, 9/1/2026, 15 year old Noah Tischler went missing from his residence in Avon Lake. Noah left on his Schwinn bicycle seen in the photo. He is a freshman at Avon Lake High School. Noah is 6’1, 150 lbs last seen wearing a green zip up Adidas warmup jacket and black Asics tennis shoes. If you see him or have any information about Noah’s whereabouts, please contact ALPD at 440-933-4567

Today the SLFD trained on water rescue. Training included victim rescue and victim recovery using the jet skis. This training is important to maintain these necessary skills should an incident occur. Thanks to Lieutenant Bowman for hosting this training.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we cherish every day, and their legacy will never be forgotten.
We remember them not only today, but always with gratitude, respect, and honor.

Last night the Sheffield Lake Fire Department welcomed Dylan Szabo to the department. We feel his great personality and experience will be an asset to the department as well as to the city. Congratulations Dylan!
