Portside Sound Recording Studio inside the Cypress Moon building (Formerly Muscle Shoals Sound). Walking through the doors is like stepping back in time.

Portside Sound is a full service large format recording studio located on the bank of the Tennessee River in Studio B of the Cypress Moon Studios complex. The building formerly housed the historic Muscle Shoals Sound Studio from 1979 through 1985 and the recording space remains virtually unchanged since then. Designed by Claude Hill and Steven Durr the rooms reflect the cutting edge of late 70's s

tudio design. The sound and vibe of these rooms is beyond compare and really must be experienced to be appreciated. We are equipped to handle the entire production spectrum from fully "in the box" digital recording to a vintage all analog signal path that never touches a computer and any hybrid combination in between. Between our wide assortment of gear, microphones, instruments, and amplifiers and the wildly diverse pool of extremely talented session musicians this area has to offer there is virtually no musical vision that cannot be realized here.
