Starting tomorrow, September 2, the Shelburne Transfer Station will have new hours.
The usual year-round Saturday 6 am - Noon and now, year-round Wednesday 8 am - 1 pm.

Shelburne has a lot of great hiking trails that are maintained by the Shelburne Trails Club! To quote them "The Shelburne Trails Club (STC) supports and promotes safe use and stewardship of the Shelburne, New Hampshire area trails through restoration, preservation, mapping and maintenance of trails, and the sharing of the collective knowledge of its members."

Their page is a wonderful source of information on trail conditions, access, and updates, such as the recent changes to access of the Red/Blue/Yellow/White/Wiggins Rock trails. They host a speaker series several times a year and also produce professional-grade trail maps of the trails in Shelburne which are available for purchase at various locations including the Town Hall for $12.00 (cash only, please). 7/2/26 - Heat wave continues today into at least Friday. Extreme heat warnings and advisories are in effect. Heat and humidity will provide fuel for thunderstorms through Friday with storms possible during the afternoon and nights. Placement, timing, and coverage of storms remains variable. The main hazards with any severe storms would be damaging winds and hail.

As we approach the 4th of July weekend, we want to remind residents that Shelburne has a fireworks ordinance. Fireworks are allowed only on specific dates without a permit. July 3, 4, and 5 are dates where a permit is not needed. Fireworks may only be discharged between 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Please keep your neighbors and their pets in mind if you choose to set off fireworks and have a safe and happy holiday weekend!
