The election results don’t change how proud I am of the campaign we ran. I did it the only way I knew how: authentically. Every conversation, every handshake, every parade, every post, and every early morning and late night came from a genuine love for my community and a deep respect for the legal profession. I am incredibly thankful for every supporter, friend, family member, and every person who welcomed me along the way.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story, my values, and my passion for justice. I will always be grateful to everyone who was a part of it. Theresa Toia is widely known for her work with foster children. She founded Friends of Foster Kids and has devoted countless hours to making sure children in foster care feel seen, supported, and loved. Mariell has supported the organization for years by sponsoring graduates who are going off to trade school or college, wrapping presents at Christmas time, making donations throughout the year, and sponsoring fundraisers. It has been a privilege to stand beside an organization that gives so much back to our community.
