Shelby Township is a 36-square mile community located in Macomb County. Living in Shelby Township has many benefits, but its park amenities and recreation opportunities are outstanding. The township has 1,200 acres of parks that offer a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages. You’ll find athletic fields, biking and hiking trails, a fishing site, and basketball, volleyball, and tennis c
ourts, as well as several picnic areas throughout our parks. You’ll even find pavilions to rent for large groups such as graduation parties and family reunions, and a beautiful outdoor locale for family or wedding photos. There is also a Hope Chapel located on the municipal campus that can be reserved for wedding ceremonies. Shelby Township’s Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department offers various programs, activities and events for all ages and interests. The PRM staff works year-round to provide an array of leisure opportunities to enrich the lives of community members. Some of their offerings include:
