As we return to school tomorrow, I want to wish all of the teachers, students, and staff of Cleveland County Schools a wonderful and successful school year!

I look forward to seeing all of the great things that will take place across our schools and district throughout the year. I am truly proud to serve Cleveland County Schools and to be a part of such a special community.

Looking for a great way to support Burns High School Athletics? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Season passes will go on sale Monday, August 3, from 8:30-3:00.

Even if you’re not sure you’ll attend enough events to “get your money’s worth,” purchasing a season pass is still a direct investment in our student-athletes and their growth as young adults.

Our fans are the largest source of financial support for our athletic programs. The majority of our funding comes from ticket sales, with additional support provided through private donations and our outstanding booster clubs that work tirelessly to meet the needs of our teams.

Your support helps us provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes, both on and off the field. We encourage you to purchase your season pass and then ask your friends, family, and fellow Bulldogs: “Have you bought your season passes yet?”

I had the honor and privilege tonight to speak at Gardner Webb for the Parade of Tables Event for the Little Bulldog Backpack Program. Such a wonderful organization and they do so much for the Students of CCS! Thank you Lou ann Scates for your mission of feeding these children. Grateful to be there and witness the great work being done.
