As EMS Week comes to a close, we’re thankful for another great week celebrating the people who make Cleveland County EMS the standard others strive to reach.

Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to recognize achievements, celebrate award recipients, and spend time together as a team. While not everyone is pictured, every member of our agency plays a part in the culture, professionalism, and commitment that keeps us strong.

From part-time EMT to Dr. Hess now that’s a journey worth celebrating. 🚑➡️🩺

Today, we are so proud to congratulate one of our own, Dr. Michael Hess, on graduating from VCOM Carolinas!

While continuing to serve our community as a part-time EMT, he’s spent the last several years balancing long shifts, countless hours of studying, and the demanding road through medical school. His dedication, perseverance, and passion for patient care have been inspiring to watch.

Even with “Doctor” now in front of his name, he’s still part of the CCEMS family, and we couldn’t be happier.

Please help us congratulate Dr. Hess on this incredible accomplishment and next chapter! 🎉

During Construction Safety Week, Cleveland County EMS was proud to take part in today’s theme: “Respond.”

EMT Anamaris Quiterio played a key role in delivering an important message to the Yates-Metcon team at the Two Kings Casino construction site on how to properly call 911 and how the information you provide directly impacts our response.

From exact location details to the nature of the emergency, what you say helps ensure the right resources are sent quickly and effectively. Anamaris connected with attendees by delivering our presentation in Spanish, while the information was also shared in English to ensure everyone received the same life-saving message.
