💧 FRIDAY DROUGHT UPDATE 🌦️
This week's U.S. Drought Monitor shows that conditions are continuing to improve across parts of North Carolina thanks to recent rainfall. While that's certainly encouraging, much of the state—including Cleveland County—remains in Moderate Drought (D1).
One rainy day—or even one rainy week—doesn't erase months of below-normal rainfall. Our lakes, streams, and groundwater still need time and additional steady rainfall to recover.
Here's how you can continue to help:
💧 Water lawns only when truly needed.
💧 Repair leaking faucets and irrigation systems.
💧 Run dishwashers and washing machines only with full loads.
💧 Stay mindful of your daily water use.
Every gallon conserved today helps protect our water supply for tomorrow.
Thank you for continuing to do your part! Together, we can help ensure a reliable water supply for our entire community.
