I-15 from the Border to Shelby is now emergency travel only. And all south bound traffic from Shelby is shut down until wrecks are clear near Conrad.

We start our annual raffle drawing tonight on Facebook live. It's not too late to get a ticket. You can reach out to any fireman. We will draw a ticket per day for the entire month of February! One ticket for $20 or six for $100.

We want to reach out to the Toole County Ambulance, Toole County Sheriff's Office, Sunburst Fire, Search and Rescue, all of our neighboring departments to say thank you for being a part of the community that impacts so deeply. You are all a pleasure to work with, and we appreciate you all so much.

24 years ago today, the world stopped turning. The worst act of terrorism in the history of the US occurred on American soil. Life stopped for many of us as we tried to comprehend the events of that day. We held our collective breath as we watched heroes run into burning buildings to save the lives of those in peril. We watched those towers fall as those heroes would be gone from this world forever.

Today, we pause to pay respect to those lives lost. We remember the feeling of tragedy, but cling to the hope of a new day. 343 firefighters did not give the last full measure of devotion just so America would forget. Rather, we must remember the feelings of the day and carry on in a manner that makes us all one. Forget the hate speech that marks our world, and remember the foundation of freedom this country offers. Never forget the memory of September 11, 2001.

It is our honor to help our community reflect and remember those that were lost.
