It's a great day to love on a senior.
Helping the residents shop at Walmart brings so much joy because it gives them a sense of independence, normalcy, and excitement. Many residents light up when they are able to pick out their own clothes, snacks, toiletries, or little personal items that make them feel comfortable and happy. Something as simple as choosing their favorite lotion, candy, or a new pair of shoes can brighten their entire day. CleveladHouseRocks.

Sometimes our residents like to keep to themselves, but our residents are opening up to new ideas and experiences through gentle encouragement and meaningful activities. Many of the quieter residents are slowly becoming more comfortable interacting with others.

As the Activities Director, one of the most heartwarming moments was seeing the residents put on a pair of shades and head outside into the sunshine. Something as simple as sunglasses brought out confidence, joy, and personality in such a special way. Many of the residents smiled bigger, laughed louder, and felt more youthful and carefree while sitting in the sun or participating in outdoor activity. Reminded me of my mom..ClevelandHouseRocks!

Today’s social was a refreshing and enjoyable experience for the residents as our dietary department helped prepare fresh lemonade using real lemons. The residents enjoyed the smelling the fresh citrus, but most of all enjoyed the fresh lemonade.
