Cancer Association of Shelby County Helping to improve the quality of life to cancer patients of Shelby County financially & personally. These represent the wide range of services we provide.

Services
The Cancer Association of Shelby County provides the following direct services to patients. Transportation
Financial assistance for those patients who are unable to furnish their own transportation to locations where specialized service is administered. Supplies & Equipment
Medical and nursing supplies for patients who otherwise might not be able to purchase equipment

Medication
Financia

l assistance to patients in need of medication, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In Home Assistance
In home care and assistance to maintain qualith of life and a safe environment for patients who prefer to live at home. Insurance
Financial assistance in paying health insurance premiums to insure patients continued coverage. Patient’s Human Service Program
To provide assistance to patients in need of certain necessities such as shelter and food. By fitting each “piece of the puzzle” together, we can offer a complete service to our community. Funds are raised for the Cancer Association through donations, fundraisers and the Thrift Shop. Donations of goods may be made during normal business hours of the Thrift Store.

Our request was mailed directly to his home address in Malibu, California, and you can even see where the cover of the March 18, 2019, LIFE Magazine “Mary Poppins” edition was carefully torn away and sent to us.

A Truly Special Gift from Dolly Parton for our Live Auction "Cancer Bash"

We are deeply grateful to the incomparable Dolly Parton for her generous support of our organization over the years. Each year, she has lovingly donated an autographed photo—and this year’s arrived in the mail on August 18th, just one week before her passing on August 25th. It is now an especially treasured gift.

For Dolly’s many fans, this auction package also includes two tickets to the Dolly show at the Nashville Indiana Music Center on October 23rd and a book about Dolly.

We are honored to share this beautiful remembrance of a truly extraordinary woman. Thank you, Dolly, for your generosity, your heart, and the joy you gave to so many. You will be deeply missed.
