We're sure your Facebook feed is loaded with photos of Dolly today. We are adding a rare one here. This is Dolly many years ago with Texas BBQ legend CB Stubblefield.
When we sell BBQ at the Bell Buckle Craft Fair, we ask each customer 'If you could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?' . We write that name on their ticket and then when we bring the food out to them, we call out that name ( or sometimes sing one of their songs if they're a musician ...or repeat one of their famous quotes). By far, Dolly has been the #1 female dream lunch date choice of our customers year after year. She shone with a light that helped brighten the world.
If you want to honor her this week, may we suggest emulating her light. Make someone smile. Laugh at yourself. Compliment those you come in contact with.
Rest in Peace, Dolly. The World will always love you.

Barking Pig had a h*ll of a day at sea today with Nothin' Matters Fishing Charters!! Sometimes you just gotta catch what you cook! We're staying at All That Jazz Sandestin Condo and are not sure if we're going home any time soon!

The KCBS judges in Wise Virginia at least liked our ribs! 10th Place in Ribs for us and then it was all downhill from there! But the Wise PD were a great bunch of guys, and they enjoyed our BBQ!! Another fun weekend... but our last weekend competing for a while!
