📣 Persuasion in Action!
Mrs. Forey’s English 10 Honors classes recently put their rhetorical analysis skills to work with creative advertisement campaign presentations!
After studying how rhetoric shapes the messages we encounter in media, students took a closer look at three powerful tools of persuasion: ethos, pathos, and logos. Then, they became the advertisers! Working in groups, students selected an existing product—or invented one of their own—and developed a campaign designed to persuade a specific target audience.
From building credibility (ethos), to appealing to emotions (pathos), to using logic and evidence (logos), students demonstrated how carefully crafted messages can influence an audience. 📊❤️🧠
The result? A fun, creative showcase of rhetorical analysis, critical thinking, collaboration, and of course, some seriously persuasive advertising! One of the best parts was seeing some familiar faces pop up in the commercials!
