Prior to the 38th CAB HHC stepping off for our Annual Training CPT Anene gives the safety brief to those in the convoy. This is one of the most important parts of the convoy as it ensures everyone is tracking the correct frequencies, speeds, and what to do in emergencies.

Last month the 38th CAB welcomed our incoming Commander LTC Ramos and also said farewell and thank you to our outgoing Commander COL Oden for his hardwork and dedication to our Brigade the last couple of years.

In COL Oden’s outgoing speech he welcomed LTC Ramos and had this to say:

“LTC Ramos, congratulations my friend. I am extremely excited for you and your family. You are inheriting an exceptional formation filled with talented and dedicated professionals. I have the utmost confidence that this organization will continue to thrive under your leadership. I know you will find the same pride, commitment, and excellence in these soldiers that I have been privileged to experience.”

COL Oden also had this to say to the men and women he has led over the last couple of years:

“To the Soldiers of the 38th Combat Aviation Brigade, continue to uphold the standards that have made this brigade successful. Stay disciplined, remain focused on warfighting readiness, take care of and look out for one another, and never lose sight of the trust that our state and nation places in us.

Thank you for allowing me to serve alongside you. I am better because of all of you. It has been an honor of a lifetime to lead this remarkable formation, and I pray that Almighty God watch over and protect each and every one of you.

Thank you COL Oden for your leadership and good luck in your new assignment!
