Mays for Sheriff In 2018 please help elect Keith Mays for your new Shelby County KY Sheriff. Keith Mays left law enforcement after serving over twenty years in public safety.

Keith began his career in 1988 as a firefighter in Louisville, Kentucky then transferred to Bullitt County Kentucky, where he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and then Battalion Chief. In 1994, Keith joined the Pioneer Village Police Department in Bullitt County where he worked as a patrol officer and started the crisis intervention team. In 2001, after the 9-11 terrorist attacks in New York

City, Keith joined the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office where he analyzed DNA and assisted with the identification of human remains of those who lost their lives. In 2003, Keith returned to law enforcement in Louisville where he joined a special unit where he reviewed critical incidents and helped revise and implement new policies and procedures for his department. Keith is married and has two sons and two grandchildren. Keith is an avid hunter, shooter and outdoorsman and enjoys working on his farm. A Commitment to Excellence
