Doug Butler for Magistrate

Doug Butler for Magistrate Candidate for District 7 Shelby County Fiscal Court Magistrate My name is Doug Butler. I am asking for your support and your vote in this election.

I am a candidate in the upcoming election for District 7 Magistrate for Shelby County Fiscal Court. I am also asking for you to choose the best candidate for the position. You, and all of us in Shelby County, deserve to have the best possible representation at this fundamental and responsive level of government. Almost twenty years ago, I, and my wife Jamie, had an important choice to make: Where

would we choose to live. We were planning to build our dream house, and wanted a place that would become our homestead: A place of beauty and peace, with the garden we had always imagined. We chose Shelby County. We saw it as a perfect combination of natural beauty, friendly people, great location, and smart development. We've been happy residents ever since. I am a candidate for Magistrate because I feel a great sense of responsibility to the people and the place where we live, and wish to give back and serve this community in the best way possible. I am a strong believer in the servant-leader role. One who is charged with the careful and responsible management of that entrusted to him. The essence of the servant-leader is choosing service over self interest. I have lived my entire life in service -- U.S. Air Force, School Board, Other County Boards -- and now feel the call to serve my community as Magistrate. I believe I will bring a unique combination of Leadership, Experience, Commitment, and Passion to this position, and to best serve you and our community.
