This spring, blood donors can plant seeds of hope for patients in need by coming to give blood.
As hospital demand remains steady, your support in actively recruiting donors is essential. Personal invitations, internal emails, social media posts, and leadership encouragement all make a significant difference in building a strong appointment schedule.

We especially encourage you to help us recruit Power Red donors (blood types O+, O-, A-, B-, or any first-time donor). Power Red donations collect a concentrated dose of red blood cells (the most commonly transfused blood component) while safely returning plasma and platelets to the donor.

Special April Donor Incentives:
As a thank-you for donating blood, donors will receive:
Help hope bloom! Give blood 4/13-30 for $15 e-gift card to merchant of choice

Join us Thursday, April 16th from 11:00 to 4:00. You can schedule to donate here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=ShelbyFiscalCourt

Thank you to all of our First - First Responders for being that calming voice on the phone when we call 911 in time of need.

April is National County Government Month. Counties Matter, and to celebrate we are recognizing Shelby County employees, highlight effective county programs and raise public awareness about county government.
In addition this week is Telecommunicator’s Week!
We are blessed to have great Shelby County Ky Emergency Services Emergency Management & Communications 911 Dispatchers serving our community! They are the FIRST First Responders.

Remember our 911 Dispatchers this week as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week begins. These are the people behind the scenes taking the most difficult calls 24/7, providing us with emergency service when needed. Dispatchers are often forgotten because they are not seen, but they are always there, the voice of calm and reason sending help. Thank you Shelby County dispatchers for being the voice in the dark, the invisible heroes.

Thank a Dispatcher!
