Sheldon Elementary School Belonging, Engaged, Act Kindly, Responsible, and Safe!!! Go B.E.A.R.S!! Sheldon consists of rolling uplands, farm land, and extensive valleys and streams.

The community of Sheldon, Vermont has a population of nearly 2000 and lies in the heart of Vermont’s dairy and agriculture zone in Franklin County. Sheldon is situated in the central portion of this county on the east-west corridor highway of Route 105. The school site is between the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain and only a few minutes drive from the Canadian border. We are fortunate to be si

tuated nearby the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail and the Missisquoi River. Sheldon Elementary School is a K-8 school with approximately 260 students served by over forty staff. Class sizes average under twenty five with multi-age classrooms, housing students for a two year span. Sheldon School recognizes the unique learning opportunities available to us in our rural setting. The school grounds include multiple playground spaces, a tennis court, a climbing wall, a Nature Center, and an 80 acre forest full of trails maintained by a community-school partnership committee. Above all, Sheldon School values each individual as a unique person with a special contribution to make. It is our desire to maintain an atmosphere that is safe, challenging, and promotes the best in each person.
