Lake Weather Alert

8/22 at 2:25 PM

Central Crossing Fire is tracking a strong to severe storm west of Table Rock Lake in southwest Barry County. While at the moment, the storm itself does not pose a immediate threat to the lake, we are noting an uptick of lightning moving in from the west, as well as the potential for this storm to build further east, or new storms to develop.

Please be mindful of the weather, and that conditions can change very rapidly in the Ozarks, as well as Table Rock Lake. Use your best and safest judgement. If you are even questioning if you should be out on the water, it is likely a good time to head back to a dock or land.

8/14 ~ 4:40 PM

Central Crossing Fire is on scene at a vegetation fire along and north of Highway YY. Crews are reporting the fire is contained and are working on hitting hot spots. Additionally, the power has been knocked out to a good portion of the district. Carroll Electric has been contacted.

Please use caution along Highway YY as emergency crews and electric crews will be working in the area.

All fire units have cleared the scene.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Central and Eastern Barry County till 8 PM, including parts of the fire district.

Winds up to 60 mph and quarter size hail is possible.

Make sure to be weather aware, and seek shelter indoors for the duration of the storm.

Thank you to everyone who voted in the Tuesday, August 4th primary election and supported Proposition Fire.

The approval of this bond enables us to better protect our personnel, enhance the reliability and capabilities of our fire district, and strengthen our support for mutual and regional partners.

🗳️ Election Day in Missouri

Today is Election Day for the Missouri Primary Election. In addition to state candidates and measures, voters within the Central Crossing Fire Protection District will decide on Proposition Fire.

The District encourages all eligible voters to review what is on the ballot before heading to the polls.
