Special Weather Statement issued June 3 at 8:31AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN
Dry conditions and breezy winds will lead to near critical fire
weather conditions today. Southerly winds of 10 to 20 mph with
gusts of 20 to 25 mph are forecast for today. Minimum relative
humidity values of 20 to 30 percent are also expected. Together,
these conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires. Check
burning restrictions and fire danger before burning.

This Saturday is the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Memorial Day service at 1:00 p.m. This is a high-volume vehicle traffic event with a majority of the traffic coming off of and on to Highway 53. Please consider using Highway 70 to Wildcat Road to access the cemetery as well. There will be traffic direction by Washburn County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol on Highway 53.
