The Vets on the Lake fishing event is coming up on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Barkers Island Marina Landing in Superior!

🕡 6:30 AM – 2:00 PM
🎣 A day of fishing, camaraderie, and fun
🍔 Cookout and social hour to follow

This is a great opportunity to get out on the water, connect with fellow veterans, and enjoy a day on the lake.

Join us this Memorial Day as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

The VFW - Springbrook Post #10568 Memorial Day ceremonies will begin Monday, May 25, 2026, starting at 9:15am with stops at local cemeteries throughout the community, ending with the final ceremony at the Post at 11:30am.

Following the ceremony, lunch will be served at the Springbrook Post. Sarge will be making his pulled pork and lunch will be a pot luck, bring a dish to pass if you can.

Then at 1:00pm, weather permitting, join us for the release of Breezy the Eagle at the Post with Winged Freedom Raptor Hospital. This special moment celebrates Breezy’s recovery and return to the wild. Be sure to watch our page for any weather-related updates regarding the release.

Everyone is welcome to attend and help us honor our fallen heroes while celebrating this incredible symbol of freedom and resilience. 🇺🇸🦅
