Matt and I want to take a moment to sincerely thank this community.
Over the past several months, we have been deeply humbled and at times truly overwhelmed by the kindness, encouragement, and support you have shown us, not just in Washburn County, but also in Sawyer, Burnett, Barron, and so many surrounding communities. Whether through a conversation, a message, a sign in your yard, or simply a quiet word of goodwill, it has meant more to us than we can fully express.
Campaigns come and go, but what has stayed with us is the sense of community behind it. The thoughtfulness, the respect, and the care people have shown, not just to me, but to one another, are things we will carry with us long after this moment.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in me. I understand what that trust represents, and I do not take it lightly. To serve as your circuit court judge is not just a position. It is a responsibility entrusted by the people of this community, and one that must be carried out with fairness, independence, and a steady respect for the law.
I also want to extend a special thank you to my peers on the bench for their guidance, professionalism, and support throughout this process. Also to the members of law enforcement across our communities, thank you for the work you do each day to keep people safe. That responsibility is carried out regardless of who or how someone votes, and it reflects a commitment to service that deserves recognition.
The work of the court is often quiet and rarely seen, but it matters deeply. Every case represents a person, a family, or a turning point in someone’s life. That is why the work must be done carefully, thoughtfully, and in accordance with the law and the Constitution.
I am truly honored by the confidence you have shown, and I will continue to approach this role with the same care and commitment it deserves.
From our family to yours, thank you for your support, your kindness, and your trust.
