BONUS Time Warp photo: PENNY PILE—“Janice Neal, Shell Rock, appears to be standing behind a stack of giant pennies. Her ‘Pennies of the Pool’ idea generated a nation-wide response that eventually brought in the equivalent of over one million pennies for the pool fund. The new pool, for which the community has worked for four years, is nearing completion” (from July 1, 1975).
