Celebrate Shelton Announces the 12th Annual Downtown Sounds Summer Concert

Celebrate Shelton is excited to announce the return of its beloved Downtown Sounds Summer Concert, celebrating its 13th year of bringing live music, local food, artisans, and community together along the Housatonic River.

The event will take place at Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Shelton on Saturday, June 27th from 4pm-10pm, and features an exciting lineup of Connecticut-based musical talent, including The Alpaca Gnomes, PEAK, Modern Refuge, and special guest DJ Doey Joey.

Downtown Sounds has become one of the region's premier summer events, drawing thousands of visitors from across the Naugatuck Valley and beyond for an evening of music, food, art, and community spirit. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $10 to help support Celebrate Shelton's year-round programming and community events.

"This event has grown tremendously over the past thirteen years, but its mission remains the same—to create a welcoming space where our community can gather, support local, and enjoy incredible live entertainment," said Celebrate Shelton founders Nicole Heriot-Mikula, Michael Skrtic, and Jimmy Tickey.

In addition to a full evening of live music, attendees can enjoy a diverse selection of local food vendors and food trucks, including:
Greek Style Grill
Tex Mex Fusion
Big Dipper Ice Cream
Szabo's Seafood
Supreme Poutine
Demitasse Specialty Coffee
Doc's Lemonade
Country Kettle Corn

Attendees can indulge in our Pop-Up Bar featuring selections from New Belgium Brewing Company, Love Lou Wines and Bad Sons Brewing.
Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the evening with a variety of interactive activities and family fun. Highlights include high-energy and interactive fun from BringtheHoopla, a special meet & greet with Stitch, and live performances by the talented Center Stage Theatre KIDS, making Downtown Sounds a destination for visitors of all ages.

Beyond the music, food, and family entertainment, attendees can shop locally with our curated handmade artisan vendors, connect with local community organizations, and experience the welcoming atmosphere that has made Downtown Sounds a summertime tradition throughout the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
Founded in 2012, Celebrate Shelton is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing community life through arts, culture, music, and family-friendly events. Through festivals, concerts, public art initiatives, and seasonal programming, Celebrate Shelton continues to showcase the best of Shelton while supporting local artists, businesses, and nonprofits.
