Mason County Assessor’s Office will be closed on Thursday, May 7, 2026, for staff training.

Today is Election Day – Return your ballot by 8 PM!
Voters only in Shelton School District, Mary M Knight School District, Elma School District and McCleary School District return your ballot by 8:00pm.
• Drop boxes are open until 8 PM. Link for drop box locations in comments.
• The Vote Center at 411 N 5th St, Shelton is open until 8 PM. Register to vote or get a replacement ballot.
• If you're mailing your ballot today, request a handstamp at the post office to ensure the postmark is on time.

Today is Temperance and Good Citizenship Day!
This annual observance is a time when public schools focus on civics education, promoting responsible citizenship and encouraging youth voter registration through the Future Voter Program.
16- and 17-year-old Future Voters can sign up to be pre-registered to vote. Once eligible they will be automatically registered and sent a ballot.
To be a Future Voter go to VoteWA.gov or visit the Vote Center at 411 N 5th St, Shelton.
