Still one of my favorite evenings of the year - Senior Awards Night! SHS Class of 2026 has earned over $500,000 in scholarships - many of which are from local businesses and organizations. Our community is so great! ❤️🎓🥰

👑 ROYALTY SPOTLIGHT - LANE, Paul Bunyan
Senior, Shelton Highschool

I’m a senior at SHSl and after graduating will be attending Iowa State University to study agricultural law and rural policy as well as political science. After serving as Timber the Axe Man last year, I got to experience all the fun in our community - especially with the students and adults. I knew I loved being part of the Forest Festival Court and was excited for a second opportunity.
One influential person in my life has to be my FFA advisor and pretty much an older sister to me, Elizabeth Warren. Honestly without her guidance and support I wouldn’t be nearly as successful or prepared as I am now, her support mixed with my mom, Stacie Stoney’s, support has allowed me to be successful in everything I do including being a part of the Mason County Forest Festival.
One thing that most people would never know about me is that I have Sensory Processing Disorder, a form of autism, which hasn’t stopped me or stunted my personal growth in the slightest, in fact sometimes I think it’s helped me way more.

👑 ROYALTY SPOTLIGHT - FRANCESCA, Queen of the Forest
Senior, Shelton Highschool

Growing up in Mason County I always looked up to the Forest Festival Court. It is an honor to serve as Queen in this year's court. I will be graduating with my AA in Welding Technology, from there I will be transferring to Saint Martin’s University to pursue a degree in Engineering. During high school, I have also founded and been president of the SPSCC welding club where I have helped organize events that brought students from all over Washington State, to hopefully spark the same passion of welding that I have. I have also been a member of National Honor Society for the past two years.
I can't wait to spend more time with this year's court and make a lot of memories!
