CHOICE High School

CHOICE Middle/High School starts on Wednesday like the rest of the district, but our students will have Check-Ins for the first two days so they can meet with their advisors, set goals for the trimester, and approve their schedules. Our first "full day" of classes is on Friday. (Remember on "Full Days" our 11/12th graders have class from 7:45-10am, and our 9/10th have class from 10-2:10pm. Our 7/8th graders will have class from 7:45-2:10).

CHOICE Middle/High School comienza el miércoles, como el resto del distrito, pero nuestros estudiantes tendrán Check-Ins durante los primeros dos días para reunirse con sus asesores, establecer metas para el trimestre y aprobar sus horarios. Nuestro primer "día completo" de clases es el viernes. (Recuerden que en los "Días Completos" los estudiantes de 11.º y 12.º grado tienen clase de 7:45 a 10:00 a.m., y los de 9.º y 10.º tienen clase de 10:00 a.m. a 2:10 p.m. Los estudiantes de 7.º y 8.º grado tendrán clase de 7:45 a.m. a 2:10 p.m.).

Please join us in welcoming Shelby Noullet as our new Native Ed Para Tech for the Shelton School District!

Shelby will be serving Shelton High School, Oakland Bay Jr. High School, Cedar High School, and CHOICE Middle & High School. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Shelby moved to Shelton two years ago. With four years of experience working in behavioral education within a school district and active involvement in Native outreach programs, Shelby brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to supporting students. In addition to professional experience, Shelby also volunteered with MAAIM, which provided deeper insight into the diverse tribes in the area and fostered a greater appreciation for both the unique differences and shared connections within local communities. Shelby is excited to contribute both personally and professionally to the Shelton School District this year.

CHOICE is excited to meet our newest Cats at new student orientation! New Middle School students, please join us on Wednesday August 26, and new High School students please join us on Thursday August 27th. Orientation will be from 8:30 to 11:00AM. Bus transporation will be available. Please contact the CHOICE office with any questions.

🎓 6/5: Cedar HS Graduation (5:00 PM | Cedar Classic Car Parade - Cedar HS parking lot - 6:30 PM | Ceremony starts at SHS PAC)

🎓 6/6: Shelton HS Graduation (5:00 PM | Doors open - Marcus Pavilion At Saint Martin's University (ticket req.) - 6:00 PM | Ceremony begins)

🔆 6/12: Last Day of School (1.5 hour day)

🔆 6/22 - 7/23: Summer School (Mondays - Thursdays)

As a reminder, there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 22nd, due to a snow make-up day, and again on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day.

Such an awesome way to celebrate some truly amazing students!! It also brings our three high schools together as we celebrate our Native students collectively from CHOICE, Cedar High School and Shelton High School!! What a beautiful tradition!!

What a fun morning!! I had a little crew of four students in 1st grade read me their favorite books at the moment!! They even wrote me a hand written invitation to join them on this day!!
