The Summer of Interns continues with an Intern Takeover of social media! Episode One features several of our interns - Ben, Sam, Jude, and Spencer - sharing some key highlights and takeaways from their experiences here at PUD 3. We're pretty proud of what they have accomplished, and we're sad to say goodbye to them!

You'll learn more about our other two interns (Alli and Maddie) in our next episode, and then about our student workers in our third and final episode.

Why do we host internships? Among many other reasons, it's a great way for area students to see some of the amazing jobs in their own communities, and maybe even convince them to come work for us someday! They also accomplish some great work for us each summer, and we appreciate their eagerness to learn and dedication to their tasks.

We've been calling this the "Summer of Interns" as we welcomed six pretty awesome interns and eight hard-working students this year - talk about workforce development!

Any way, interns Alli and Maddie created a video with some heat safety and efficiency tips they learned this summer. Great job!

Sharpened pencils, a fresh box of crayons, and a new backpack aren't the only things to check for before school starts up again. If you're charging up or plugging in some devices or appliances, make sure to check the power cords for any damage and don't overload power strips. The big lesson: Safety First!
