Whether you sleep with a fan on every night or you only get them out of the garage around this time of year, use fans safely!
💨 Check cords for damage - this could be a fire hazard or shock risk.
💨 Don't overload outlets - in fact, plug fans directly into the wall.
💨 Keep the fan blades clean - unplug them and clean off the dust or other allergens that they could blow at you. (Oof, that reminds me I gotta clean that ceiling fan...)

Looking for an easier path to balance the budget? Maybe a more predictable power bill would help? Check out budget billing!

We take the last 12 actual months of use and average it out, then charge you that amount each month. Now is a great time to sign up, in the lower usage months, so you can build a credit toward the higher winter usage months. We then recalculate the monthly bill in May.

5:05 p.m. Traffic is moving in alternating lanes while repairs are being made.

4:05 p.m. Power has been restored to all but about 40 customers in the Belfair area along Highway 300 and up Union River Road. Crews continue to make repairs where a tree fell on lines. Repairs should be completed by 10 p.m. tonight.

3:20 p.m. Over the next hour or so, our crews will start "switching" or rerouting power for most customers while they continue to make repairs. About 100 customers will remain out of power for the duration of the repairs, estimated restoration time yet to come.

2:27 p.m. Our crews are making repairs on a downed tree on lines, which has caused an outage for about 1,150 customers in the Belfair area, especially the north end, and the Union River area. We don't yet have an estimated restoration time, but crews are already working on it. Thank you for your patience!

It was chilly yesterday, but it could be in the 90s this weekend! Get ready for any heatwaves that might come our way this summer. Remember:
🌞 If you're going to be outside, wear sunblock and reapply as needed.
😎 Protect yourself with a hat, sunglasses, or find shade in other ways.
🌞 On hotter days, drink more water and watch for signs of dehydration or heat exhaustion. Take lots of breaks if you are working outside.
😎 Stay cool.

It's National Safety Month and you KNOW we love some good safety messaging! As you're doing your spring/summer chores, keep in mind ways to improve safety around your home. Here are some ideas:

👉 Check your electrical cords for any fraying or damage.
👉 Look around for any trees, branches, or other vegetation interfering with power lines, transformers, or other electrical equipment. If you see an issue, you can let us know by filling out a "hazard tree" form on our website.
👉 If you're planning on digging, call 811 first to check for underground utilities.

There are many more important safety messages to come!
