Macecom is the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) for Mason County Washington. We dispatch for Law, Fire and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) for all of Mason County. We work with many agencies to ensure public safety. See our website for a complete list of partner agencies.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Heads up: Verizon has again notified us that there are SIX tower sites out of service in our area. This outage potentially affects 911 calls from your Verizon wireless device. We will update this post once more information is known or the outage is resolved.

We were made aware that Verizon service has been restored and things should be back to normal.

We rely heavily on wireless communications and moments like this are always good to reflect on plans in case of an emergency. Wildland fire season is rapidly approaching as well!

The only ETA to full restoration we have received is 10:00 PM tonight (Monday 5/4/2026)!

Public Notice โ€“ Verizon Service Outage

Mason County 911 has been advised of a major service outage affecting Verizon customers across several states.

Mason County, along with our partner 911 agencies in Thurston and Kitsap Counties, has been identified as potentially impacted. This outage may prevent some Verizon customers from being able to contact 911.

At this time, we have no additional information or details to share. We are actively monitoring the situation and coordinating with regional partners.

If you are unable to reach 911 and have access to another phone or carrier, please use that option. WiFi calling may also be available, but be sure to clearly convey your location if you phone in.
