🚨🚨🚨 BBQ CHICKEN 🚨🚨🚨

We will be having a BBQ Chicken dinner Saturday Sept 12th from 11AM-1PM. The meal consist of a chicken halve, baked beans, coleslaw, slice of bread and bag of chips for $12. We will also have halves available for $6. Only 350 available, preordering is strongly encouraged. Comment on post or message the page to order. Pickup will be at the fire station.

Approx 10PM last night crews responded to a reported structure fire involving a camper. First arriving units found 2 campers fully involved with 2 exposure campers. Engine 702 deployed a hand line, quickly extinguishing the bulk of the fire, while saving the 2 threatened campers. We responded with 14 members. We was assisted by Stanley Vol Fire Dept and Stanley Vol Rescue Squad.

The Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank Lakeside Book Company of Harrisonburg and their employee’s for their donation through their Make a Difference Committee.

These funds will be utilized to update and upgrade our life safety rope and equipment that has been in service over 20 years.

The month of May was a busy month for your local volunteer fire company, especially the past week, with crews handling a severe crash, and assisting Elkton Volunteer Fire Company with 2 structure fires. All incidents was handled 100% by volunteers. We thank our mutual aid partners, Elkton and Stanley Fire for their assistance on these critical incidents.

Recently members assisted Rudy’s Diner with operating the cook shack at the Shenandoah Speedway. In return Rudy’s Diner, donated a Milwaukee combo kit including a chainsaw, 2 batteries and charger for our rescue engine. Support local as these businesss are always giving back.
