PCPS SAFETY UPDATE:
Law enforcement has reviewed the concern that prompted PCPS to implement a precautionary low-level lockdown earlier today and has advised that the additional precautions are no longer necessary.
The low-level lockdown has been lifted, and all PCPS schools are resuming normal operations. All school activities may resume as planned.
We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our students, staff, and families and thank our local law enforcement partners for their continued support.
The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.

Division Superintendent

🐾Monday, August will be an A day.

🐾We will be having JMU Interns in our School Counseling Department this year. Mikayla Cashwell will be here for the first part of the year. She will be working with Ms. Weaver in the counseling department, seeing kids individually and in a small-group setting. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Weaver at 540-652-3400 or email: [email protected]. Here is a little bit about Mikayla!
My name is Mikayla Cashwell, a student in the Master's in School Counseling program at James Madison University. I am originally from Amherst County, Virginia, where I was born and raised. For undergrad, I went to Radford University and received my bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Growing up in a small town, I had big dreams of doing something meaningful in life. As a school counselor, I intend to do just that by making sure I show up for the students here at PCMS this school year! I am becoming a school counselor, with hopes to make a difference where I can. When I am not in the counseling office, I love spending time with my family and friends watching a good movie. I am so excited for the opportunity to work here in Page County, and I believe this will be an amazing school year!

Have a great weekend!!
