The water issue at the township hall parking lot has been corrected. The recycling bins are now able to be accessed without getting wet. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Have a great day!!

The township is aware of the water issue at the hall parking lot. We are working to correct the problem. It may be Monday before it can be addressed. Please be careful at the recycle bins as it could turn to ice. Thank you for your patience and understanding. The recycling bins have been temporarily located at the township hall at 309 W Wright Ave. Please be mindful they are for recycling purposes ONLY!

Regarding the Recycle bins at the Village of Shepherd DPW: The bins have been moved out and a new location will be presented soon! Please stay tuned for updates! In the meantime time you may take your recyclables to the bins located at the Isabella County Recycling center located at 4208 E River Road Mt Pleasant or any other Isabella County recycle depot. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The township hall and vestibule will be closed beginning today, Wednesday July 30, 2025 5:00pm through Friday, August 1 until approximately noon. We are getting the floors waxed. Please take note the drop box will NOT be accessible during this time. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Happy Tuesday! Our groundskeeper, Jim Mulder, is working hard to get our cemeteries prepared for those wishing to pay respect to their loved ones this week and weekend for Memorial Day. Flags are also being placed on our veteran spaces. Unfortunately, last year we had some vandalism occur which involved veteran markers. Some were completely removed and others were randomly placed in different locations. We have done our best to place flags where they need to go, but if you notice any veteran space without a flag, please message us. We appreciate your effort to help us!!🇺🇸
