The Shepherd Village Council's election is on November 3rd and there are still 2 seats that no one submitted a petition for. But wait! You can still submit your "write in" application if you are interested in running.
There is a 2 year term and a 4 year term available.
All you need to do is pick up the 1 page form at the Shepherd Village Office and file with the Coe Township Clerk no later than 4pm on October 23rd.

The Copy Katz will be in Shepherd tonight! The Shepherd Chamber along with sponsors: KBJ Management, Mercantile Bank and Old 27 Car Sales are bringing street entertainment to Wright Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets from 6pm - 8pm. Bring your chairs, refreshments available at the Shepherd Bar and Far Out Food Truck will be there with their yummies! Should be the perfect night.
Wright Avenue will be closing at 3pm - 10pm in this area.

The Village Office will be closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, August 4th, 5th & 6th, for repairs.
Office hours for Monday, August 3rd and Friday, August 7th will be from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

DEADLINE TODAY (07/21/26) AT 4pm
Village residents: Tuesday, July 21st is the deadline to have your petition turned in to run for Shepherd Village Council.
Current seats that will be on the ballot:
Village President - 2 year term
Village Treasurer - 2 year term
Trustee (3 seats) - 4 year term
Trustee (2 seats) - 2 year term
If you are interested in being on the ballot, please reach out to the Village Office to obtain your nominating petition.

Water bills are due today before shut off's tomorrow morning. The DPW will be out early as the days are HOT. The office is open until 5pm and you can still pay online until then as well.
