Good evening Pirates,
Due to continued monitoring of weather and road conditions, Shepherd ISD will operate on a 2-hour delayed start on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. This delay allows additional time for travel conditions to improve while prioritizing the safety of our students and staff. All campuses will begin the school day two hours later than normal, and bus routes will also run two hours later than their usual schedule: All campuses - Start time @ 9:45am
We will continue to monitor conditions throughout the morning and will communicate any additional updates as needed. Please continue to watch official Shepherd ISD communication channels for the latest information.

English I students in Mrs. Crutchfield’s class put their reading skills to work by annotating a text to identify central and supporting ideas. Students practiced noticing key details, making connections, and using their annotations to deepen their understanding of the text.

Our Shepherd Pirates kicked off the first game of the season with a big win over Huffman on Friday night! The team showed determination, hard work, and plenty of Pirate pride from start to finish.

Understanding Target Markets in Sports & Entertainment Marketing!

Students in Mrs. Harrison's Sports & Entertainment Marketing class put their marketing skills to work by exploring target markets and learning how businesses in the sports and entertainment industries reach the right consumers. Students identified and analyzed key characteristics of a target market, including demographics, psychographics, geographics, and buying behaviors. Hands-on activities like this help students see how the concepts we learn in class connect to real-world marketing decisions!
