Our school nutrition operation is the largest restaurant in Bullitt County. We serve thousands of meals a day, each one highly regulated by federal and state nutrition requirements to ensure that school meals are the healthiest meals that students will consume in a day. Not only are we the largest restaurant, but we also have the best customers!!! Students Matter Most Bullitt County Public Schools

The most regulated kitchen in your city is not a Michelin-starred restaurant.
 
It is your school cafeteria. And the people running it are there every single morning whether anyone notices or not.

A huge thank you to our friends at First Harrison Bank for their incredible generosity and support of our students and families!

Through the kindness of their team and customers, a donation of $900 has been provided to help cover student meal debt balances as we wrap up the school year. Contributions like this make a meaningful difference and help Bullitt County Public Schools continue offering affordable school meals for all students and families.

We are grateful for community partners like 1st Harrison Bank who believe in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Thank you for investing in our kids and our community!

We would like to recognize two outstanding members of our team who were nominated for this year’s Fred Award, inspired by the principles of The Fred Factor — David Monday, Nutrition Manager at North Bullitt High School, and Carla Asbury, Nutrition Associate at Zoneton Middle School.

Both David and Carla are incredibly deserving of this recognition. Each day, they go above and beyond in service to the students, staff, and school communities they support. Their passion for their work, genuine care for others, and commitment to making a positive difference truly embody what it means to “be a Fred.”

They consistently strive to give their very best, creating meaningful connections and making an impact through the small things they do each day. We are proud to have them as part of our department and grateful for the difference they make within Bullitt County Public Schools

Summer is almost here....and so is SUN Meals!

This summer, our department is proud to continue sponsoring the SUN Meals Program, helping ensure children in our communities have access to nutritious meals while school is out of session.

Families interested in participating in our non-congregate 7-day meal pack option are encouraged to open the link below to review program details and complete the meal request form for their child(ren).

Because SUN Meals is a federally funded program, there are several important program guidelines and eligibility requirements outlined in the information provided. We encourage families to carefully review all materials prior to submitting their request.

We also wanted to take a moment to celebrate our school lunch heroes! Ms. Gwen and her team work tirelessly everyday to ensure each student is fed. Our students are able to learn and grow because of these ladies! Thank you to our Lunch Heroes!
