We're starting a new series called "Midweek Marvels." In this series, we will interview and get to know the BAMS students and what makes them special. Here's our first one!

Meet Zack Lau, a standout student in our BAMS program with a passion for photography and a talent for capturing the essence of our community.

🧑‍🏫 Favorite Part of Bernheim: Zack's love for nature shines as he explores Bernheim, learning and growing with every step. As a key member of our media and drone team, Zack enjoys working with various groups, including the bee team and Wilson Creek team, making him a researcher on multiple fronts.

📸 Zack’s Passion for Photography: Zack’s strength and passion lie in photography. He's been capturing candid shots of our class, teachers, and program, helping us preserve the memories we've created. Always ready with his camera, Zack is constantly snapping away, even when you least expect it. His love for photography began in Hong Kong with his grandpa, who gifted him a camera. Zack took it upon himself to research and master the camera, sparking his love for both photography and cinematography.

👫 What Makes BAMS Special: For Zack, the tight-knit community of the BAMS program is what he loves most. Being in a cohort of 20 of his closest friends means learning is both fun and deeply supportive. "When you get like-minded people together, you learn and have fun in the process," Zack says.

🎓 Future Aspirations: Zack dreams of becoming a surgeon and values the rigorous coursework that’s helping him get there, with Algebra being his favorite class. He also appreciates that BAMS gives him a head start with two years of college already under his belt.

🔧 Fun Fact: Zack is self-made and loves to research and learn new skills independently. He's incredibly handy, with a knack for building—last year, he even crafted a wooden briefcase featuring a Louisville Slugger bat as the handle, complete with a running computer system inside!

The following shall be the District Policy for the Transportation Department regarding school bus transport for BAMS and other JCTC related programs starting the 2024-2025 Academic Year, and shall be reviewed and revised as determined by the Director of Transportation at the end of each consecutive school year following.

Regular Transportation will be defined by the following:

“Special/Event” Transportation
