🎆 Fourth of July Fireworks Safety Reminder 🇺🇸

As we come together to celebrate Independence Day, the Shepherdsville Fire Department reminds everyone to stay safe when enjoying fireworks. While fireworks are a fun tradition, they can cause serious injuries and fires if not handled properly. Always follow local laws, keep a bucket of water or hose nearby, and never allow children to handle fireworks unsupervised.

We encourage everyone to attend professional displays when possible and leave the fireworks to the experts. If you choose to use consumer fireworks, light them one at a time, move away quickly, and never relight a “dud.” Let’s all do our part to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for our families and our community. 🇺🇸🔥

*Don’t forget about Bullitt Blast tomorrow from 4p-10p!!*

Friends & Neighbors: We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as the city park remains closed. For those who are unaware, many of the structures within the park were damaged from the flood and need to be repaired or completely replaced. Unfortunately, this means that the park is not suitable or safe for the public. We are working as fast as we can and have multiple contractors assisting us. We are hoping to have everything completed and for the park to be reopened by June 14!
While the park remains closed, we are also using this as an opportunity to make minor and much needed upgrades throughout the park. We hate that the park is unavailable, especially for our kiddos, but we hope that once the park does reopen, you will and appreciate all of the improvements. We can't wait for you to be able to enjoy your park once again! Please stay tuned for updates!
