Usually, people don’t invite the cops to their parties so you can imagine how thrilled we were. Ofc. McGill, seen pictured, and members of the department enjoyed getting to spend some time with the community last week at the COA’s St. Patrick’s Day luncheon. Special thanks to the Fire Department for hosting the event.

Update 2/19: This nice dog has still not been claimed by an owner, but he did have a nice walk with Dog Hiking today and is enjoying the soft snow.

Update 2/18: no one has called to claim him in spite of being posted far and wide, including the Dover ACO putting up flyers around where he was found. He’s keeping busy by taking our volunteers for walks, making snow angels, and fetching toys.

This handsome, sweet, lively Border Collie type dog was found in last night (2/13) and still hasn’t been claimed. He does not have a microchip and was not wearing a collar. He is so sweet, knows commands and walks well on leash. Please call the Dover Police Station 508 785-1130 or the Medfield Shelter 508 359-8989 to claim him if he is your dog, or if you know who he belongs to.

If they win we might have to look at making this permanent. As you celebrate the big game (and hopefully the start of another dynasty), please remember to plan ahead. If you're going to drink, don't drive. GO PATS!

On February 5, 2026, at approximately 2:35 PM, the Millis Police Department received a report that a motorist had a firearm brandished at them in the area of Plain Street and Monroe Street by another motor vehicle. The description of the suspect's vehicle was broadcast to neighboring towns. A short time later, the Sherborn Police Department located the vehicle and subsequently conducted a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street at Farm Street. The two individuals, Adrian Griffen (24) of Medfield and Nathaniel Silverwalker (22) of Pawtucket, were arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace. Bail was set at $1,000.00 each. Both will be arraigned at Wrentham District Court on February 6, 2026. Thank you to our partners at the Sherborn Police Department. The firearm involved in the incident was determined to be an airsoft gun.

The Sherborn Police Department would like to congratulate and welcome our two newest Officers: Officer Edward Viles and Officer Cameron McGill. Both are recent graduates of the MPTC Marlborough Police Academy 1st ROC where they have spent the past 6 months conducting rigorous training. Yesterday they were officially sworn in.
Officer Viles grew up nearby in Medfield. He graduated college this past June with a degree in emergency management from Mass Maritime. Officer Viles is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending his time fishing and hiking. He is excited to get to know our community.
Officer McGill grew up nearby in Natick. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2024. Officer McGill also enjoys hiking and fishing. He considers it an honor to be able to serve a community so close to where he grew up. Both expressed that they are avid sports fans and will undoubtedly be rooting for the Patriots to bring home trophy number 7 this Sunday.
Next up for the two newest members is FTO! Congratulations again!

🚨❄️𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗗❄️

Significant snowfall is expected tomorrow and Monday, bringing slick roads, reduced visibility, and longer travel times.

A few friendly reminders:
• Slow down — speed limits are for ideal conditions
• Increase your following distance
• Plan ahead — allow extra time or postpone travel if possible
• Clear all snow and ice from your vehicle before driving
• Give plows plenty of space as they work to keep roads safe

If you don’t need to be out, the safest place to be is at home. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe.

Stay safe and stay warm! ❄️🚓
