I always had a heart to serve and protect my community that I live in. What a better opportunity than to join the fire department.

What made you decide to become a instructor?
I have always had a willingness to teach others to better their self and always trying to motivate others.

Officer Barnes has been a firefighter since graduate of highschool and started his volunteer career in 1999.
Officer Barnes is married to his love of his life Lauren Barnes which is also a volunteer firefighter for our department.
They been married little over a year and both joined 4 years ago.

Good evening Belfast Fire Department members and community. This evening your fire department was paged out for mutual aide to Shaw Fire Department district for a woods/grass fire. Your fire department had two members that responded. Upon arrival Belfast asked Shaw command for instructions. Belfast assisted Shaw and Tull Fire & Rescue on one side of the fire with containment and hand made fire line around the area. Forestry arrived on scene and got a line around the fire. Shaw realeased Belfast and everyone returned to service.

Everyone it is extremely dry out here. Please don't be burning until we get a significant amount of rain. It doesn't take much to have a major fire right now.
