ACCOUNTABILITY 101
You’ve been given the task of ACCOUNTABILITY; the firefighter who holds the tags no one knows what to do with.

Then, a wall collapses on an Interior Crew, Firefighters self rescue and exit the building and no one is seriously injured. Suddenly, someone notices Firefighter Smith is missing, but no one knows where he is.

Incident Command turns to you and asks, “Where was Firefighter Smith?”

You stare at the ring of tags.

Join us on Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at 7:00pm at the Home Township Fire Department (Edmore) and hear

PLEASE!!! If you dont have smoke detectors in your home, get them. Some local fire departments in Montcalm County participate in FREE smoke detector programs including Crystal, Lakeview, and Montcalm Township. Ask your fire department for details.

They DO save lives, but only if they are installed properly and are working.

Montcalm County Central Dispatch

From our friends at Montcalm County Central Dispatch....

Tomorrow October 3rd, FEMA, in coordination with the FCC, will be conducting a nationwide wireless emergency alert (WEA) test starting at 2:18 pm. It will be followed by a national broadcast test of the EAS system at 2:20pm

Cell towers will broadcast the WEA (wireless emergency alert) test for approximately 30 minutes beginning at 2:18 p.m. EDT Oct 3rd. During this time, WEA compatible cell phones that are switched on, within range of an active cell tower, and whose wireless provider participates in WEA should be capable of receiving the test message. Some cell phones will not receive the test message, and cell phones should only receive the message once. The WEA test message will have a header that reads "Presidential Alert" and text that says:

“THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.”
