Thank you to the Montcalm County Fire Association for offering such a great class today. The advanced pumper class this weekend was probably the best class I've ever taken for the fire service. Thanks to Maple Valley Township Fire for allowing me to attend!!!!
Montcalm County Fire Training for the weekend of April 13-15:
1) Pump Apparatus Class - Stanton/Greenville areas (still are openings!) Class is taught by Dave Jackson and Danny Evans from Saginaw Township FD.
2) Educational Methodology - Stanton Community FD (still have a few openings!) Class is taught by Dan Oberst from Lansing Fire and Bath Twp. FD (retired).
As a side note, the Fire Academy will be back in action on Saturday, with all students, and Steve VanHolstyn/numerous area instructors doing practical evolutions. The class tests out in 1 month.
Brian Blomstrom will be over in Green Bay, WI, teaching Fire Investigation, and bringing back ideas for other training topics as well.
This County and it's Fire Departments continue to demonstrate progressiveness in the Fire Service field!!
